The scaling mission

Ten million Africans, ready for the AI economy

Project 10 Million is the five-year mission through which ITSKILLS4AFRICA pursues continent-wide reach and verified outcomes — not vanity metrics, but people who learn, build, earn and lead.

The ambition

A verified path from capability to opportunity

Africans learn relevant capabilities, apply them to real problems, build products and businesses, and enter economic opportunities. The platform is the acquisition and trust layer; the outcomes are the point.

Recommended public formulation

Ten million Africans reached, three million completing foundations and one million intensively trained — subject to approved five-year operating targets and verified counting rules.

Reached

Ten million Africans reached with approved digital-economy learning.

Foundations

Three million completing structured foundation pathways.

Intensive

One million intensively trained with performance evidence.

Where we are now

Live, and preparing programmes for their first cohorts

ITSKILLS4AFRICA is in its live engagement phase. Enquiries, applications and partnership conversations are open today. Teaching begins programme by programme, once each one has passed its readiness approval — never before.

Current status: Live — partner engagement, enquiries and programme preparation underway.

  1. Platform go-live

    Live nowLive

The marketing website, enquiry and application channels and the learner platform are in production and serving traffic.

  2. Partner-engagement phase

    Active nowActive

Open to governments, universities, businesses, funders and delivery partners across Africa. Countries become local delivery partners as readiness is established, not on a fixed sequence.

  3. Founder Track enrolment

Date pending media and UAT approvalNot yet open

The twelve-week programme is written and built. Enrolment opens once lesson recordings are produced and approved and user acceptance testing is signed off.

  4. AI Builders enrolment

Date pending SME, media and UAT approvalNot yet open

The sixteen-week programme is written and built. Enrolment opens after independent subject-matter review, lesson recordings and user acceptance testing.

  5. First cohort start

    To be approvedNot yet open

Teaching begins with approved pilot cohorts, sized so that quality and outcomes can be evidenced before any scaling decision.

  6. Project 10 Million rollout

    Phased, Africa-widePhased and continuing

A continuing programme delivered in phases as partners, capacity and verified outcomes allow — not a single launch event.

Programme enrolment opens per programme after readiness approval, and we publish the approval before we open the door. We do not advertise start dates we have not approved, and we do not accept learners onto a programme whose teaching material and testing are unfinished.

Continent-wide + local

How Project 10 Million reaches Africa

Project 10 Million combines continent-wide digital access with locally activated delivery partnerships.

Learners and businesses across Africa will be able to participate online. At the same time, ITSKILLS4AFRICA will work with institutions in individual countries to introduce local mentoring, university certification, employer projects, community learning centres, business-support programmes and locally relevant content.

This readiness-based approach enables countries with prepared partners to begin implementation without waiting for a predetermined regional rollout sequence.

Counting framework

A transparent hierarchy of verified impact

Each person is counted once, at their highest verified achievement level. We publish the reporting period, denominator, verification method and known limitations.

LevelMinimum evidence
ReachedUnique identity or approved de-duplicated partner record, plus an activity threshold.
Foundation completionRequired units, assessment and completion rules.
Intensive graduateVerified capstone or business implementation plus a quality decision.
Economic outcomeDated outcome record with a declared verification level.
Business transformedBaseline, result, responsible owner and evidence review.

We never convert impressions, followers, radio audiences or repeated sessions directly into trained-person counts. Direct platform evidence is kept separate from partner-supplied or estimated reach.

Pilot before scale

Scale is earned, not assumed

The controlled pilot proves learning, business and economic outcomes before we scale. Registration volume alone is never sufficient.

How to take part

Everyone has a role in the mission

  • Learners enrol, build evidence and progress toward opportunity.
  • Businesses implement one measurable AI use case and record the result.
  • Mentors and instructors support participants and safeguard quality.
  • Partners and sponsors mobilise reach, funding and verified outcomes.

Be part of the first ten million

Whether you learn, build, mentor or fund — your contribution is counted with integrity and evidence.
